Downtown was filled with wagging tails, happy faces, and plenty of puppy love as New Port Richey Main Street hosted its annual Puppy Crawl in the heart of downtown New Port Richey.

The beloved event invited dog owners and their four-legged companions to explore our charming downtown district while visiting participating, dog-friendly businesses. From specialty shops to restaurants and bars, businesses welcomed pups with treats, bandanas, water bowls, and plenty of affection.

A Tail-Wagging Downtown Experience

The Puppy Love Crawl was designed to spotlight the many dog-friendly establishments that make downtown New Port Richey such a welcoming destination for pet lovers. Registered participants checked in, received their pup bandanas (their official “admission wristband”), and set off on a self-guided crawl throughout the district.

Throughout the evening, sidewalks were buzzing with excitement as pups proudly strutted in festive gear and owners connected with fellow animal lovers. The atmosphere was energetic, community-focused, and full of photo-worthy moments.

Supporting Local & Giving Back

In addition to highlighting downtown businesses, the event also partnered with a local rescue organization, giving attendees the opportunity to learn about pet adoption and support animal-focused causes. An on-site adoption corner offered information about rescue efforts and ways to get involved.

By keeping the event centered within existing downtown businesses, New Port Richey Main Street ensured that the economic impact stayed right here in our community — driving foot traffic, encouraging shopping and dining, and introducing new visitors to our vibrant district.
